Welcome to Rooted Elements!

I am Anita and I am happy to share my journey as a massage therapy professional with you. Take a minute to learn more about me.

I was destined to become a massage therapist. I had a series of events in my early and late adult years that lead and confirmed I was working towards my soul’s purpose. I knew touch was meant to heal others.

In my early twenties, I enrolled in an Aesthetician Diploma program at Seneca College. I received accolades in the body treatment and facial classes by my peers and professors. I recall working in the student clinic where I received numerous compliments by customers on my hand strength, my rhythm and flow of massage therapy techniques.

In my mid-twenties, I received gentle nudges and omens to shift towards massage therapy. I was interested in chair massage at this time and considered enrolling in an accredited school, but I was not committed yet. My focus was to climb up the corporate ladder. As years passed and I continued to receive closed doors, I chose to direct my focus on the signs from the universe to pursue massage therapy.

By my late twenties, I enrolled into the Massage Therapy Diploma program. I graduated with Honours from Centennial College of Applied Arts in 2005 and later became licensed to practice in Ontario. I have been proudly serving the Woodbridge Vaughan community and surrounding area for nearly 20 years.

To further my understanding of the knowledge I gained in previous studies, I was seeking to learn how Qi and subtle energies flow through the body. In my mind there was a missing piece to tie each therapy together. Without hesitation, I enrolled in an Acupuncture and Energy Medicine Diploma program at The College of International Holistic Studies. I was able to synthesize all the knowledge I gathered from previous studies.

My intention was to be in a career that allowed me to be in service for the greater good of humanity; to have a platform where I could consciously provide a service catered around safe touch, gentleness and compassion, while sharing my wisdom and humility in a sacred healing environment. As a therapist and healer, I have an intuitive way of working with patients by knowing what is needed for each of their individual treatments.

My passion to help others extends beyond the therapy room by mentoring second and third year massage therapy students in preparation of their OSCE and MCQ examinations.

I am a member in good standing with the CMTO, RMTAO, and NGH.
